pregnancy insomnia

Pregnancy is a beautiful journey, but it often comes with its fair share of challenges, one of the most common being insomnia. As your body goes through significant hormonal and physical changes, sleep disturbances can become a frustrating part of the experience.

Pregnancy is often the time when women start using Homeopathy for the first time, as it is safe to use throughout pregnancy and while breastfeeding. It is gentle and effective, with no nasty side effects! In this blog, we'll explore some of the best homeopathic remedies for pregnancy insomnia, offering gentle yet effective options for a good night's sleep.

Understanding Pregnancy Insomnia:

Insomnia during pregnancy is a common concern, affecting up to 78% of expectant mothers at some point during their gestation period. Hormonal changes, physical discomfort, anxiety, and frequent urination are just a few factors that contribute to sleep disturbances. Insufficient rest can lead to fatigue, irritability, and can even impact the health of both the mother and the baby.

Homeopathy and Pregnancy:

Homeopathy is a holistic system of medicine that operates on the principle of "like cures like." It utilizes highly diluted substances to stimulate the body's natural healing response. Homeopathic remedies are considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding because of their gentle nature and minimal risk of side effects. However, if symptoms persist, please reach out to me for more personalised support.

Potency and dosage:

Dosage: I always recommend 30C potency for home prescribing. Take one pellet under the tongue 30 minutes before bedtime for up to 7 days. It can be repeated during the night if necessary.

If there are no improvements after 7 days, change remedies or contact me for a consultation.

Stop taking the remedy as soon as symptoms improve.
